About Me (Us)
A soul in the search of eternal peace…
About This Blog
In our young age many beliefs, habits, do’s and don’ts were taught/forced on to us by our Parents/Elders in the name of Wise things to do, Religion and GOD. We used to follow some of them blindly or forced to follow them because of peer pressure or we used to ignore some of them in the name of ignorance or superstition.
Personally I think there should be some reasoning behind each one of them. At the same time whatever said to us may not be true completely as it were passed on to us after many generations in form of saying/writing which has many chances to get misinterpreted or exaggerated or twisted or even being false or not applicable now.
We can’t question our Parents/Elders always as they don’t know the real reasoning behind it. It’s our duty to use our sixth sense and differentiate the right and wrong and choose the correct one after analysis from the true source. In that way we might be to answer our-self and our coming generations with true knowledge. The purpose of this blog is learning and sharing the true knowledge in our inner journey towards the higher Self.
As a human we are born in the world to learn and correct ourselves from our past mistakes and realize the true reality (Inner Self). My humble thought is that Spirituality is the true source of Ultimate Reality; Science is the Reasoning behind it and Religion is the Path to achieve it for common man. In other words ‘Spirituality is the Soul, Science is the Mind and Religion is the Body’.
Suggestions/Feedback/Comments are always welcome to know our Self better! 🙂
“Be True, Love All, Help Others Selflessly,
Live in Harmony and Rest in Peace”

Thanks dear friend! Of-course it has meaning. It has two meaning. God Ganesha (Elephant GOD) as per Religion for common man and [Gan+Esh – Ganam+Eshwar – Cube+GOD – GOD of the Cube [Micro Abode] or Ganam+Pathi – Holder of the Cube [microabode] as per Scientific Principle. I may explain more about the scientific concept later in a post. 🙂

I knew it! Ganesh features in Luke Davie’s poem, Totem. Here, I’ll post a little bit for you. Enjoy!
“The whoosh of whisky grass; something had been and gone. We woke. Ganesh was gone, and every bull and bull-god, gone. How change became good fortune, how love streamed. In the yellow time of pollen, and the honeysuckle blooming, the preciseness of the world came flooding in.”
He is the patron god of writing, and the god of good fortune, and change. A Hindu god I think?
Anyway, my friend, the rest of the poem is here, in its entirety if you like it so far… http://www.poetrylibrary.edu.au/poets/davies-luke/totem-poem-0065001
Ganesh is in five stanzas of this forty stanza epic love poem. I will look forward to more posts and the scientific concept in future. And thanks for visiting the labyrinth! 🙂

Hello, Ganesh, My best wishes to you for what you are doing here.
I came here because of notification that you liked a post of mine and, when I came here, the first thing that struck me was the droplet hitting the water. This reminded me of the first line of my affirmation regarding oneness or the I AM. I reproduce the whole affirmation in case it interests you.
As the droplet is to the ocean,
I am.
As the lick of flame is to the fire,
I am.
As the sunbeam is to sunlight,
I am.
As the Great Spirit is,
I am.
N.B. I have later added a visualisation to help those interested.
All the best,
Ian.

Thank you very much! Actually it is a famous quote of Avvaiyar. The Avvaiyar which means “respectable women” was the title of more than one poet who was active during different periods of Tamil literature. I learned this quote in my school day…
There are different ways to interpret this quote. The simple meaning is whatever we have learned in our life is drop and there is ocean to learn or learning never ends. This quotes remind us that never think “I know everything” and nothing more to learn because of false delusion of Ego, which stops our learning journey to eternity. Be humble and open to learn…
Your interpretation is absolutely right! It’s the philosophical/spiritual interpretation of this quote. Recently I also came to know about Rumi’s quote which you may like too, “We are not a drop in the Ocean, We are the mighty Ocean in a drop”. 🙂

Wow I was looking for this type of blog. I am interested in understanding the parallels between religion and science. I believe that thousands of years ago in India there was very advanced science. All the background knowledge got lost in later conquests of India. But now we consider this science to be as religion I.e. I bet certain rituals, like purification rituals that seem to be based on religion must have some scientific background that only now we are beginning to learn thousands of years later.
I look forward to reading your blog entries!

I think your blog is just phenomenal. I am doing a design project on combining scientific cosmological theories with Hindu cosmology.
This blog has been so helpful.
Maybe you should venture into the area of Terence McKenna’s work and analyse that in a religious space, especially thoughts about the Soma Mandala. I don’t know, just some food for thought.
Well done! Once again, great ideas, confluent and interesting.

Hello Ganesh thank you very much for taking the time to read my blog. Although it is all about travelling it has some spirituality part on it because I had the opportunity to travel to India twice. I was fascinated with the traditions, the culture and of course!. Unfortunately I couldn’t stay longer to practice some meditation or experience Ayurveda (difficult when you travel with a child) I also have a culinary page on it. You blog is amazing! I will read it frequently. You have great stuff on it. Thank you for sharing your thoughts!

Hello, Ganesh, my old friend! I thought I would drop by to say a big “HELLO!”. I see that you are still helping others along the spiritual path – on their journey up the mountain . . . . . and on to the summit! GREAT! [N.B. I have no other, discreet way of getting this to you so I have to do it here – sorry. I have put all my quotes into one file – Consolidated Quotes – mainly so that anyone wishing to look up something – e.g. “karma” – can do so conveniently. I was surprised to see that there were some 3000 of these quotes 🙂 !!!!!!!! – so my decision to collate them was justified! {https://issuu.com/iangardner or search for Consolidated Quotes – Ian Gardner 2016.} ]
