Thought Energy – Utilize Effectively

Just as energy is wasted in idle talk and gossiping, so also energy is wasted in entertaining useless thought. Therefore, you should not waste even a single thought. Do not waste even an iota of energy in useless thinking. Conserve all mental energy. Utilize it for higher spiritual purposes in divine contemplation. Conserve all thought-energy and utilize it for meditation and helpful service to humanity.

Do not store in your brain useless information. Learn to unmind the mind. Unlearn whatever you have learnt. They are now useless for you. Then only you can fill your mind with divine thoughts. You will gain new mental strength as all the dissipated mental rays are collected now.

In physics you have the term “power of orientation”. Though the mass of energy is there, the current will not flow. It must be connected to the magnet and then the electric current will flow through the power of orientation. Even so, the mental energy which is dissipated and misdirected in various worthless worldly concerns should be well-directed in proper spiritual channels.

Cultivate Good Thoughts

Drive away from your mind all unnecessary, useless and obnoxious thoughts. Useless thoughts impede your spiritual growth; obnoxious thoughts are stumbling blocks to spiritual advancement. You are away from God when you entertain useless thoughts. Substitute thoughts of God. Entertain only thoughts that are helpful and useful. Useful thoughts are the stepping-stones to spiritual growth and progress. Do not allow the mind to run into the old grooves and to have its own ways and habits. Be on the careful watch.

You must eradicate through introspection all sorts of mean thoughts, useless thoughts, unworthy thoughts, impure thoughts, thoughts of jealousy, hatred and selfishness. You must annihilate all destructive thoughts of disharmony and discord. You must develop thought-culture of good, loving, sublime thoughts, divine thoughts. Every thought must be of a constructive nature. It must be strong, positive and definite. The mental image must be of a clear-cut and well-defined nature. You must develop right thinking. Every thought must bring peace and solace to others. It should not bring even the least pain and unhappiness to anyone. Then you are a blessed soul on the earth. You are a mighty power on the earth. You can help many, heal thousands, spiritualize and elevate a large number of persons as did Jesus and Buddha.

Just as you grow jasmine, rose, lily, lotus flowers in a garden, so also you should cultivate the flowers of peaceful thoughts of love, mercy, kindness, purity in the vast garden of mind. Through introspection, you have to water this garden of mind with meditation and sublime thinking and remove the weeds of vain, useless discordant thoughts.

The Manifestation Process – The Physics of the Divine

———————————————————————————–
By Dr. Jessie Mercay

“The Self unfolds Itself, by Itself, for its Self” – Bhagavad Gita

The crux of Vastu Science and Technology is the manifestation process called Vastureva Vaastu and the application of those principles to poetry, dance, music and architecture. The same principles apply in terms of the manifestation process regarding architecture, sculpture, music, poetry and dance.

Vastureva Vaastu simply means unmanifest pure potential Energy (Vastu) turning itself into material form (Vaastu). This the technical meaning of the term Pranava, With the understanding of this process and the simultaneous yet successive manner in which it occurs, one comes to fully realize that Vastu is Vaastu. Pure Consciousness, Brahman, is the same as the material world and the material world is the same as Pure Consciousness, Brahman. There really is no distinction between manifest and unmanifest. There is no distinction between an individual and consciousness itself.

Patanjali, in his yoga sutras, recommends that a seeker perform dharna (concentration), dhyan (contemplation), and samadhi (deep meditation) on the distinction between Intellect (representing manifest) and Soul (representing unmanifest) and he or she will experience an awakening. That awakening comes because eventually over time one realizes that, as pointed out by Mayan, there is no distinction between Intellect and Soul. They are one and the same. Everything in the manifest world is nothing but consciousness. When that awareness becomes a permanent experience then the goal of life is realized. The study and application of Vastu Science is a path to that realization because understanding and experiencing Vastureva Vaastu on a very deep level promotes the understanding and experience that All is One.

“… forms produced by the application of Vaastu Science are the forms of the Spirit/Soul…” – Dr. V. Ganapati Sthapati

The following diagram, created by Dr. V. Ganapati Sthapati, depicts the process of Vastu becoming Vaastu – potential energy transforming into kinetic energy. While at first the process may seem complicated, as you read on you will find that it is in actuality simple and elegant. As you read, know that this process is occurring every nano second within your own Self. Read with an open heart and open mind. That openness will create deep and profound understanding that you will find to be trans-formative.

Thought-Transference or Telepathy

What is the possible medium through which thoughts can travel from one mind to another? The best possible explanation is that mind-substance fills all space like ether and it serves as the vehicle for thoughts, ether is the vehicle for heat, light and electricity, and air is the vehicle for sound. Mind is all-pervading like Sky. Hence, thought-transference is possible. Thought-transference is telepathy.

If we throw a piece of stone in a tank or a pool of water, it will produce a succession of concentric waves traveling all around from the affected place. The light of a candle will similarly give rise to waves of ethereal vibrations traveling in all directions from the candle. In the same manner, when a thought, whether good or evil, crosses the mind of a person, it gives rise to vibrations in the Mind or mental atmosphere, which travel far and wide in all directions.

While electricity travels at the rate of 1,86,000 miles per second, thoughts virtually travel in no time, their speed being as much faster than electricity as their vehicle Mind is finer than ether, the medium of electricity.

Know Your Thoughts

Thoughts are like things. Just as you hand over an orange to your friend and take it back, so also you can give a useful, powerful thought to your friend and take it back also. You must know the right technique to handle and manipulate a thought. The science is very interesting and subtle. You can aid a friend in trouble by sending him thoughts of comfort, a friend in search of Truth by thoughts clear and definite of the truths you know. You can send into the mental atmosphere thoughts which will raise, purify and inspire all who are sensible to them.

If you send out a loving, helpful thought to another man, it leaves your brain, goes directly to that man, raises a similar thought of love in his mind and returns back to you with redoubled force. If you send out a thought of hatred to another man, it hurts that man and hurts you also by returning back to you with redoubled force. Therefore, understand the laws of thought, raise only thoughts of mercy, love and kindness from your mind and be happy always.

Guide Your Thoughts

When you send out a useful thought to help others, it must have a definite, positive purpose and aim. Then only it will bring out the desired effect. Then only that thought will accomplish a definite work.

Just as the flowing river brings joy and coolness to those who live on its banks, so also your strong thoughts of love and peace must flow out as a healing stream to bring solace, peace and glee to those persons whose minds are filled with care, worry, anxiety, tribulation, affliction, etc.

Even some good matured householders entertain some occasional good thoughts and send out into the world some helpful thoughts. This is not sufficient for an aspirant in the path of Truth. A continuous stream of helpful thoughts must gush out from his mind. It must be a perennial, healing stream of loving, helpful thoughts. He must be able to charge groups of twenty persons, masses of hundreds and thousands with love, joy and cheerfulness. He must stir them with a mere glance and a few sweet, powerful words into enthusiasm, high spirits and exalted moods and exhilaration. That is spiritual strength, will-force or soul-power.

The Aintiram – The Five Aspects

———————————————————————————–
By Dr. Jessie Mercay
posted by Ganesh

In Mayan’s deep, spiritual and scientific treatise called the Aintiram, the profound underpinnings of Vastu Science are articulated.

Aintiram is a multidimensional treatise on Energy and Matter, Space and Time, Order and Beauty. Absolute time creates life said Mayan in his Aintiram. He added that “Mathematics has its roots in the Time unit and Architecture is the zenith achievement of mathematics.” Aindiram is an embodiment of the subtle and penetrating theories of five aspects (Ain-Tiram) namely, Moolam (Prime Existence), Kaalam (Time), Seelam (Rhythm), Kolam (Form) and Gnalam (Earth). Mayan views the entire cosmic phenomenon in terms of these five aspects.

The following is a summary of some of the principles put forth by Mayan in the Aintiram:

1. Nothing is created – it is manifested from the One Source.
2. The Originating Source is sometimes called Moolam, Brahmam (Quantum Field)
3. It constantly creates (manifests) so that it may forever savor and enjoy its own Ultimate Beauty. That is, the Originating Source found itself to be so beautiful and perfect, and in love with that beauty and perfection that it manifested itself in different material forms in order to experience and savor that beauty eternally.
4. This Originating Source or spiritual center is Moolam (meaning source), Maiyyam (meaning center) and Pulli meaning point) – the central source point of consciousness – pure energy.
5. All objects of nature are unified entities (forms)of energy and matter.
6. The free space is the unified field of energy and matter and source of all forms that we see in material world.
7. There are two OMs: OM Light and OM Sound, the former is the source of all visible objects and the latter, the source of all aural forms.
8. All material forms of the universe are musical forms or have taken shape on musical rhythm or musical scale.
9. Time creates, sustains, and destroys all, so created.
10. The primal manifest form of the unmanifest is square (primal wave pattern).
11. The primal square pattern is designated as the diagram of embodied energy – Vaastu Purusha mandala.
12. The free space is packed with cubical atoms of energy. They are building blocks of the structure of the universe.
13. The cube is micro-abode called Sittravai/Chittrambalam (mini hall in Tamil).
14. Within the hall there is a vertical luminous shaft called Brahma Sutra (Oli nool).
15. This Olinool/Brahma Sutra is a shaft of consciousness also called Moolathoon/Moolasthambham.
16. This shaft of consciousness vibrates in a particular order called rhythm. This is the order of nature.
17. This rhythmic vibration of the shaft of consciousness is the dance of Shiva, the Space.
18. The micro space, in the cubical shape is foetus, Garbha or Bindu. This is known as Vinkaru in Tamil.
19. This micro abode is the repository of light and sound.
20. The free space is Light and the Light is Moolam or source of the universe and universal forms. Light is Brahman, Atman, Vastu Brahman – Nun porul in Tamil.
21. The embodied energy is Vaastu Brahman/Vaastu Purushan. The space enclosed in a building is Prasada Purushan – energized building –Building is a living organism, built of musical units of measure.
22. Architecture is the supreme achievement of mathematics.
23. Mathematics is rooted in the dynamism of Absolute Time.
24. Time is the vibration of Space.
25. Time and Space are equal.
26. Time is one of the subtle elements of Space (akasa).
27. Time is the causal element of all objects of the Universe.
28. The microcosmic structure is in total identity with macrocosmic structure.
29. The supreme space is throbbing every moment to express itself out.
30. Through the power of inner consciousness, the knower of Vastu should know about light aspects and sound aspects of OM pertaining to both inner and outer space.
31. Those who do not realize the creative dynamism of inner space cannot know the dynamism of outer space (195,831).

These thirty-one principles form part of the foundation of the sciences called building architecture of Sthapatya Veda, Vaastu Shastra and Traditional Indian Architecture. These are commonly called Vastu or Vaastu. While these ideas may seem unfamiliar or perhaps abstract, their meaning and significance becomes clear as one delves more deeply into the science of Vastureva Vaastu- energy becoming matter through the manifestation process which we will go through in next weekend.

Pranava Veda – The Divine Principles

———————————————————————————–
By Dr. Jessie Mercay
posted by Ganesh

Dr. V. Ganapati Sthapati took great effort in recording, in writing, the fifty ‐ thousand verses of the Pranava Veda that Veerabathiranar recited to him. The Pranava Veda is one of the oldest Tamil Works available today. It is presented as the source of Vedas by Veda Vyasa himself (compiler of the Vedas). This scripture deals with the basic principles of Light, Sound, Space, Time and Self (individual and Universal soul).

Dr. S.P. Sabharathnam, a Vastu and Agama scholar and translator of Mayan’s works and many other ancient texts says this about Pranava Veda:

The working pattern of the basic two aspects of Pranava (OM) – OM light and Om sound is the core subject of this work. The nature of Primal Light is analyzed in terms of visible rays, invisible rays, sparks and flames, which are constantly working. In inner cosmos and outer cosmos, (inner cosmos is within every Human body) the nature of Primal Sound is analyzed in terms of audible and inaudible sounds which go hand in hand with the Luminous rays and sparks. The Pranava Veda establishes the truth that there is the basic source of Primal Light, which emits trillions and trillions of luminous beams, which are classified into three – solar, lunar, and fiery. All the visible luminous bodies moving in the near and distant heavens derive their energy only from this Basic Source of Primal Light… The Pranava Veda speaks elaborately on the 64 square grid, micro-‐abode, fivefold manifestation, five cosmic elements, the positive, negative and neutral interaction between the five cosmic elements and above all the unfailing total identity and correspondence between the inner cosmos (human body) and the outer cosmos.

Some of the worthy declarations made in this Veda are:

  • Who is there in this world who has perfectly realized the greatness and efficacy of the human body?
  • It is only the perfect human being who could gain the essential knowledge of the Eternal Existence and of the ever-pure Space of Consciousness.
  • It is only the perfect human being who could gain the beatific intuition and everlasting Bliss.
  • It is only the perfect human being who could co-ordinate the basic functions of light, sound, space and time.
  • It is only the perfect human being who could attain the knowledge of Cosmic totality within himself and elevate Himself to the extreme spiritual heights.

The Pranava Veda, which is replete with basic principles and concepts of the ever – expanding universe and the visible and invisible cosmic structures, is sure to benefit the reader in great measure. One can see the depth and elegance of the Pranava Veda by reading the following verses by Mayan. They are at once, science and spirituality – the physics of the Divine.

Pranava Veda – Verse 1

Om Light and Om Sound are the Primal Source of all manifest forms. Om Light is aroused by its own effort in a state of disorder and appears as a flame. The state of Om Light and Om Sound in Space is a magnificent luminous six – faced Light form that is called “murukoli”. The transformation of Om Light and Om Sound through the five stages is concealed in the five fold knowledge, of which, this is the first. This process of transformation of disorderly Om Light and Om Sound into orderliness is found in all five fold material forms.

Pranava Veda – Verse 2

The self-effulgent luminous light transforms itself into a flame, which spreads in all directions as a creative light. This light infuses the invisible and visible spaces creating a mathematical order, which is ever existent. Vibration of Om sound and the magnificent force of cosmic light generates sound (sound particles). Vibrant stillness of Om Light creates a beautifully spread immense flame.

These two verses form the basis for understanding what is called the manifestation process – how the unbounded Space or Consciousness becomes bound as material form – the drama of life unfolding.

Karma – The Newton’s third law of motion

What is Karma?

The word Karma literally means action. It may appear that Karma is happening to us, as if some outside force is causing good things or bad things to come to us. However, it is really our own inner conditioning and processes that are leading us to experience outer effects or consequences in relation to our own actions.

Karma is like a dust that covers the soul. In spiritually scientific terms, it’s karmic particles. When the soul is in the grip of karmic particles it is difficult for the soul to feel free and happy, because the karmic particles are blocking it.

For example, if you wear eyeglasses, you know how important it is for the lenses to be clean, because it helps you see the world clearly. BUT, if your glasses were just dipped in mud, and you wore the glasses, the world will seem quite distorted. And then, if no one taught you how to remove dirt from your glasses, you could never really see the truth about the world or life. In this case, you suffer because you are not able to see clearly as you should. You didn’t even know it was possible to even have clean glasses.

SAME WAY, with karma. Karma covers the soul and keeps it in illusion. Soul knows the truth deep down, but the karmic particles cover it, so the soul then experiences pain and suffering.

Truth Seekers and spiritual practitioners, like yourself, dedicate their life to removing as much of the karmic mud and dirt from their soul because they want to see truth, the clear-cut and beautiful truth.

Law of Karma

The law of Karma is a universal process, whereby causes lead to effects. This is something that all of us are already familiar with, whether or not we use the word Karma to describe it. Newton’s third law of motion, that every action leads to a reaction, is an application of the law of Karma. Whether we are talking about physics or daily life in the world, it is extremely useful to understand the law and process of Karma so that we may regulate or direct the process. We can soften the impact of the playing out of our past Karma’s, and can choose our own future Karma if we are willing to put in the effort to learn how to do it.

As You Sow, So Shall You Reap

Types of Karma

There are two kinds of karma: good karma and bad karma. Good karma is collected when your intention is pure and good. Bad karma is collected when your intention is bad or violent. If you are angry, you are collecting bad karma (ugh, I know!!!!) and when you are helping other people selflessly, you collect good karma (YAAY!!!!) There is a huge science to karma, and they’ll be explained in the future, but the main way to collect any kind of karma is based on intention and mental activities.

The goal of the truth seeker is not to collect anymore karma: good or bad. The goal of the truth seeker is to dissolve all the karma. So as long as you have karma, whether good or bad, you will always remain in the cycle of birth and death. A truth seeker wants to be liberated.

How Karma Affects You

There are several ways karma can affect you: physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually. If you are confused, karma is affecting you mentally. If you are rich or poor, healthy or sick, karma is affecting you physically. If you are depressed or have conditions of your love, karma is blocking you emotionally. If you are trapped with not so good spiritual teachers and gurus, karma is affecting you spiritually.

Karma SHOULD not control your life.

There are 5 things that affect your present life: they are destiny, karma, nature, time and efforts. Basically the strongest degree of any of these 5 things are controlling your life in each moment. Do you allow destiny to control you? Karma to control you? Nature or time? Or your efforts?

If you are not taking any responsibility for your life, you are letting your destiny (which can be good or bad), karma (which can be good or bad), nature (which can be good or bad), timing (which you already know what I’m going to say here) control you. BUT, there is one thing you have control over that can change everything, and that is, YOUR EFFORTS.

Unless you put efforts in your life and spiritual path, karma and all those things will continually affect you. You become its puppet. You are not in control of your life and path, you are in their control.

Break Karma = Spiritual Efforts

Efforts means doing your spiritual practices (sadhana), whether you feel like doing them or not is not the question. But doing them IS. You have to put efforts on your spiritual path. Learn how to clean your muddy karmic eyeglasses and begin to see the light. Begin to see the truth.

If you believe in God, God is not going to clean your glasses. You have to purify them yourself. God helps those who help themselves, right? You can pray to God all morning and night to clean your glasses, but if it is telling you to go get a washcloth, dip it in hot water, and clean it yourself, why aren’t you?

Ignorance? Laziness? Or, maybe you like having muddy glasses.

I doubt it. And I hope not. But let’s get real here.

You need to put efforts to change and improve your life. Happiness and peace are not going to just fall on your lap. Anger is not going to dissolve if you just sit there and do nothing. You have to put efforts to change your life

A Lesson on Karma

There’s always a reason behind the pain and suffering we experience in our life. BUT, it is in our hands to reduce the effects. No matter what, it is the universal law, that karma must take its effect – both good and bad. We can reduce the negative effects by doing mantras, meditation and soul prayer daily. Your life is in your hands, don’t rely on God or Guru or anyone else to help you, they can only help, when you help yourself.

Take a lesson from experience, reduce your karma and do sadhana daily, this way the karmic results that will take place in your life are not as bad as what it could be. Clean your glasses, purify your soul.

Remember, to give a different perspective in a positive way for your life, maybe you think you have the worst life now, but actually because of your practices, your life is actually better than what it could’ve been. Be grateful.

Be in control of your life. Do your practices. Help others selflessly.
Never hurt. Never hit. Never be violent.
Love. Help. Be Spiritual!
