Infinite Paths ~> One Destination

One should not think, ‘My religion alone is the right path and other religions are false.’ God can be realized by means of all paths. It is enough to have sincere yearning for God. Infinite are the paths and infinite the opinions.

  1. recently i had a conversation with my best friend about the current status of societies in our world. and she mentioned how the world would be a better place if everyone embraced christianity. i was shocked to hear her say that. As educated and respectful she’s always been about everyone’s faiths and beliefs, this is not a perspective i would have associated with her. i am guilty for feeling that way at one point in my christian path. but now i’m different. i consider myself christian because i strive to be christ-like, and that’s the only reason. i don’t share the same fundamental beliefs as other christians, but i understand them.
this quote hit close to home. thank you.

    1. Thank you very much for sharing your real life experience. Ultimately all religions teach the same in one way or other or their essence is same. So its better to respect all religions along with ours. Remember religion is just a way for common man to be spiritual and reach the ultimate goal of life. We can also be spiritual and reach our goal of life without following any religion too. Nothing should be forced ever. It’s all up-to the individual to select his/her own best path to reach the goal of life! 🙂

  2. One thing I like about Ramakrishna was his ability to speak to anyone in terms that the person could understand. For instance, he would ask visitors if they wished to discuss God as a personal being or as impersonal reality, rather than being dogmatic about it one way or the other. Thanks for important message in the quote, Ganesh 🙂
